Abstract
The novel pyridine compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which Y, Z1 and Z2 have the meaning given in Patent Claim 1 are prepared by introducing the substituents Z1 and Z2 into a suitable halogenated starting compound by reacting it with in each case one mol of a compound of the formula QZ1 and QZ2, where Q denotes hydrogen or a metal. The resulting compounds are valuable intermediates, in particular for the preparation of dyes, such as azo and disperse dyes. The compounds are also suitable as pesticides and for pharmaceutical purposes.
