Abstract

1419736 Austenitic stainless steel NISSHIN STEEL CO Ltd 19 April 1974 [21 April 1973] 17322/74 Heading C7A Austenitic Stainless Steel of composition:- The amount of carbon and nitrogen in solid solution may be reduced by the inclusion of aluminium and/or titanium in the steel or by vacuum oxygen decarburization or argon oxygen decarburization. The cast steel may be hot forged, solution treated for one hour at 1100‹C, water quenched, machined, cold-rolled, annealed for 10 minutes at 1050‹C, air cooled, cold-rolled, finally annealed for five minutes at 1050‹C, air cooled and may be used in deep drawing and stretch forming applications.
