Abstract

1418872 Reciprocating pumps DORMAN SPRAYER CO Ltd 1 Jan 1973 [31 Dec 1971] 61064/71 Heading F 1 A A manually-operated sprayer comprises a double-acting bucket piston 3 reciprocable in a cylinder 1 by an operator holding hand grips 19, 20, the piston having a check valve-controlled through-passage 9 connected by a tube 8 to a lance comprising coaxial tubes 14, 15 defining an air chamber 12 open to tube 8 and closed adjacent a nozzle 11 connected to tube 8 via tube 15, air chamber 12 functioning to maintain a continuous spray from nozzle 11 during reversal of stroke of the piston. Tube 15 is removably located within tube 14 by a bush 16 located by removable nozzle 11. The lance assembly may be fixed to the pump or removably attached by flange 18. The pump inlet 2 has a ball-valve 6.
