Abstract

1418808 Cartons; packages TETRA PAK INTERNATIONAL AB 13 Dec 1973 [14 Feb 1973] 7196/73 Headings B8P and B8C To facilitate pouring from a container having an openable pouring aperture 7 the roof has a sloping portion 2a thereby reducing the area of the part 6 of the roof having the aperture therein. The aperture may be positioned near a corner of the container so that the container walls act as a funnel. The container may be of plastics-coated paper or foamed polystyrene with surface layers of homogenous plastics material. Two U-shaped blanks may be assembled to form the container. In another form two blanks are assembled to form a row of containers having weakened strips (17), Fig. 6 (not shown), enabling the containers to be separated. The container may be manufactured as described in Specifications 1,294,908 or 1,332,628. In a modification, the aperture is located in a flat triangular roof portion parallel to the base, the remaining area of the roof being flat and inclined diagonally of the container.
