Abstract

1417016 Thyristor circuits LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-GmbH 13 Dec 1972 [15 Dec 1971] 57541/72 Heading H3T [Also in Division H2] A circuit, Fig. 3, comprising a thyristor 2<SP>1</SP> of the type utilizing a negative control current during commutation has a passive circuit, e.g. diode 9 and resistor 10<SP>1</SP> connected between the gate and anode. The resistor 10<SP>1</SP> may be shunted by a series R.C. circuit 12, 11. The arrangement is used on the main thyristor 2 of a pulse circuit, Fig. 1, which also includes a commutating circuit 3, 4, 5, 6 and a load 8 shunted by a freewheel diode 7.
