1415601 Dihydrobetulinic acid derivatives BIOREX LABORATORIES Ltd 26 Feb 1974 [14 March 1973] 12336/73 Heading C2U The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R is H or an aliphatic radical, and R<SP>1</SP> is an aliphatic radical optionally containing one or more free or esterified carboxy groups, excluding methyl; the salts of those compounds containing CO 2 H groups; and the preparation thereof from dihydrobetulinic acid or a 28- aliphatic ester thereof by 3-esterification optionally followed by salification. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a carrier and a compound of the invention. Pharmacological activity and routes of administration are not disclosed.
