Abstract

1415235 Fuse link H SCHURTER AG 15 Oct 1973 [19 Dec 1972] 48523/73 Heading H2G A fuse cap 2 is attached to an insulating tube body 1 by contraction on to an interposed solid layer 5, said layer being melted by heating cap 2 followed by solidification between 200-300‹ C. The layer 5 comprises any of tin, lead and indium. A cover cap 6 (Fig. 2, not shown) may be similarly attached to cap 2 by an intermediary layer (5<SP>1</SP>) which is preferably, but not necessarily, the same meterial as 5. The fusible wire 4 may be clamped as shown or let through a hole in cap 2 and clamped between the cap and cover cap or the wire 4 may be externally soldered to either the cap or cover cap.
