Abstract
1414855 Thermal switches; fluid actuation of switches S O JANSON 10 July 1973 [18 July 1972] 32814/73 Heading H1N A safety device for sauna rooms provided with an electric heating unit comprises a thermostat including a fluid filled temperature sensor 15 inside the room communicating with a bellows 13 operating contacts 11, 12 outside the room, sensor 15 being elastically deformable and a handle 20 being provided to compress sensor 15 to open contacts 11, 12. Handle 20 pivots jaw 18 to compress sensor 15 against fixed counter-jaw 16. The idea is that if somebody is trapped inside the sauna room they can use handle 20 to switch off the heating.
