Abstract

1413176 Track parameter measuring apparatus BRITISH RAILWAYS BOARD 1 June 1973 [22 Feb 1973] 8748/73 Heading B7N The track gauge measuring arrangement described in Specification 1,369,846 is modified by the incorporation of a circuit arrangement whereby only signals from a portion of each scan of a rail image are applied to the evaluating apparatus, the position of such portion being obtained from the rail position detected during the previous scan. The Specification also indicates in Fig. 2 (not shown) how a number of measuring sets can be arranged for measuring track alignment and curvature and in Fig. 3 (not shown) how the readings obtained can be corrected for vehicle roll, pitch or tilt
