Abstract

1411426 Cinamatography EASTMAN KODAK CO 6 Oct 1972 [6 Oct 1971] 46291/72 Heading G2E A film drive mechanism includes a drive wheel 5 coupled to a film take-up mechanism and a slider 13 which drives the wheel 5 with motion derived from face cam 3. The slider 13 moves leftwards (as viewed) by means of the cam 3 and rightwards urged by spring 9, the latter being the drive stroke to the wheel 5. Should the film be under such a tension that the wheel 5 will not turn further the slider 13 is prevented from moving rightwards by the engagement of the wheel 5 and pawl 12 until film tension is reduced. As shown the slider 13 may be guided by pin 10 in slot 11 and the slider may have a spring mounted cam rider 14.
