Abstract

1411026 Removing thickened liquids from tanks; discharging vessels by currents of liquid FUJI OIL CO Ltd 2 July 1973 [3 July 1972] 31533/73 Headings B8T and B8E [Also in Division A4] A thickened liquid in a tank 10 or 11 is removed by a process comprising spraying it with heated liquid of the same type through nozzles 13, which causes the thickened liquid to become more mobile thereby facilitating removal to a tank 12 by the use of pumps 24. The liquid may be supplied from the tank 12 through a pump 17 and heater 18. In another embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the process is extended to pumping from a first tank simultaneously with spraying and pumping from a second tank.
