Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the pipeline transportation for land feasible by heating the high viscosity fluid of the quality same as that in the ship's hold and by sending it into the hold thus decreasing the viscosity.
CONSTITUTION: First of all, the fluid of a quality same as that of the high viscosity fluid 1 in the hold 3 is discharged from the storage tank 4 by the pump 5 in order to pass through the heating system 6 installed likewise on land to elevate temperature, and the high temperature fluid is supplied for the hold 3 via line 7, and blown into the high viscosity fluid 1 from the nozzle 8. Then the temperature of the high viscosity fluid adjacent to the nozzle 8 is increased thereby decreasing the viscosity. And, after performing jetting to a certain extent, the high viscosity fluid adjacent to the hold 1 is discharged by the pump 9 of the ship 2 to send the storage tank 11 by the line 10. Thus, the pipeline transportation of the high viscosity fluid 1 in the hold 3 for land is made feasible without a ship of special construction.
