Abstract

1410812 Valves K H THOMAS [trading as LANGEN & CO] 17 Nov 1972 [25 Nov 1971] 53253/72 Heading F2V [Also in Division F1] A valve for bleeding air from the pumping chambers of a twin cylinder pump (see Division F1) comprises a piston valve member 14 biased into its open position by a spring 11<SP>1</SP>, and movable into its closed position, in which it closes passages 8<SP>1</SP>, 8<SP>11</SP> and 8<SP>111</SP>, by hydraulic pressure from port 12<SP>1</SP> connected to the downstream side of the pump outlet valves. Throttles 91, 9<SP>11</SP> are provided in passages 8<SP>1</SP>, 8<SP>11</SP> connected to the pumping chambers, passage 8<SP>111</SP> being connected to atmosphere.
