Dynamos, regulating; motors, controlling.-In the method of controlling dynamo-electric machines by changing the field winding connexions from parallel to series without interrupting the exciting circuit as described in the parent Specification, a regulating resistance t1 is connected in the circuit of the switch s2, so that it is included in the field winding circuit only when the windings are connected in series. Before opening the switch s2 to disconnect the field windings from external source of current, a resistance t2 may be connected in parallel with one or more of the field windings.
