Abstract

141,001. Alexander, A. E., (United Filters Corporation). Dec. 30, 1918. Rotary filters.-The supporting-shaft 3 of a rotary disk filter of the type described in Specification 136,309 is provided with longitudinal pipes 1 corresponding to and in communication with the several sections of the disks. The pipes are held in position on collars 2 by clamps 4 through which radial rods 6, which support the disks, are screwed. The interior of each filter segment is in communication with one of the pipes 1 by means of a nipple 10 and a port 7 in the corresponding clamp. The pipes discharge through collecting valves at each end of the shaft.
