1408027 Gas burners INSTITUT JOZEF STEFAN 2 Nov 1972 [11 April 1972] 50616/72 Heading F4T [Also in Division G2] A gas burner for use in atomic absorption spectroscopy comprises an aerosol chamber 1 having a tube 11 through which an aerosol of the solution to be analysed is supplied to a plurality of orifices 12, and a burner body 2 having an inlet tube 21 for supplying fuel gas and a combustion supporting gas to two parallel slots 22 formed between two halves of a burner head 3. A channel 32 having pipe connections 31 may be provided in each half of the burner head for the circulation of cooling water. The width of the slots is determined by metal spacers 4.
