Abstract

1407537 Liquid level control HANS SASSERATH & CO KG 1 Nov 1973 [6 Dec 1972] 50788/73 Heading G1H [Also in Division H1] In a liquid level limiter or regulator in which a float 12 is disposed in a housing 10 connected by a nipple 14 to a vessel filled with a liquid, as soon as the liquid in the vessel reaches the housing 10 a vacuum breaker 16 allows liquid to enter the housing 10 to lift the float 12 to close off vent apertures 22 in a tube 18, by a disc 32 engaging a valve seat 20, and to actuate a switch 26 by a plate 30 engaging a pin 29. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 2 (not shown) the switch plate is lifted off one end of a pivoted member which can then be manually operated to actuate the switch. In a further embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown) the tube is movable in a guide tube to verify the actuation of the switch.
