Abstract

1407217 Rotary scythe lawn mower ASSOCIATED SPRAYERS Ltd 22 Nov 1973 [24 Aug 1972 22 Sept 1972] 43909/72 and 39369/72 Heading AIF A rotary scythe lawn mower for use with or without a cuttings bag comprises a mower housing having an integral or separate deflector 25, Fig. 3, which directs the cuttings towards an exit 18. The bag is supported on or within a frame which co-operates with the exit via lugs 9 and apertures 19. Frame projections 11 may be provided to support the bag mouth or alternatively the mouth may be clamped to the frame by transversely elongated U-shaped clips, Fig. 4 (not shown). In the latter embodiment the frame is formed as an open box. The bag may have eyelets 21 to receive lugs 23 of a removable clamp-guard 22. If the bag is not used the clamp guard can be fitted directly over the exit. Alternatively a hinged guard may be used. The height of the mower's wheels and rollers may be adjusted with respect to the housing.
