Abstract

1363341 Mowers MASON & PORTER Ltd 5 July 1972 [6 July 1971] 31400/72 Heading AIF An arrangement which allows the cutting height of a hand guided, wheeled lawn mower to be adjusted by up/down movement of the handle, comprises a sub frame 21, carrying the rear wheels 20 and handle 23, which is pivoted to the mowers main frame 2 at pivot 22 and a clamping means therebetween. The clamping means comprises a slot 25 in the sub frame 21 which receives a bolt fixed to the main frame and a nut 26. The handle 23 is adjustable about a pivot 24 on the sub frame 21 and is held in position by a second clamping means comprising a slot 27 and a bolt 28 fixed to the handle. The mower has a front castor type wheel (Fig. 2 not shown) which can also be adjusted to alter the inclination and working height of the mower's cutter 11 independently of the rear wheel's.
