Abstract

1368793 Shopping trollies J B BUTCHART & SONS 14 Dec 1972 [16 Sept 1971] 43164/71 Heading B7B A shopping trolley has an upper frame portion 9 which pivotally supports a receptacle 10 and which is supported on a base frame 2 by uprights 8 positioned at the rear and at one side of the trolley, this support arrangement allowing the trolley receptacle to be placed in an overlapping sideways relationship with a counter 16 having a cantilevered portion 17. The frames 2, 9 are shaped to allow a number of trollies to be nested, and the uprights 8 are mounted on a member 7 mounted at a rear side of frame 2. The receptacle 10 is pivoted to the frame 9 at 11, and may have a fold down front flap (12) (Fig. 2, not shown). The trolley is also provided with a child's seat 14, and an operator handle (15) (Fig. 2).
