Abstract

1405184 Threading yarn BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 20 Dec 1972 [27 Dec 1971] 58722/72 Heading D1F Running yarn is threaded through a channel, e.g. in a texturising unit, by a wire loop drawn through the channel at a velocity of from 200 to 3500 metres/min. Running yarn 28, Fig 2, is taken up by suction gun 24, and is threaded through a channel in texturising unit 30 by wire loop 15 itself drawn through the unit by gun 10 which may comprise a pneumatic ram. Alternatively, Fig 1, the gun comprises a barrel 11 containing slidable bolt 13 to which loop 15 is releasably attached, and releasable electromagnetic trigger 18 which serves to hold bolt 13 with abutting spring 12 compressed. Electromagnetic thread cutter 21 is actuated upon release of spring 12.
