Abstract

1405089 Hoppers for seed or fertiliser spreaders W T TEAGLE 7 Aug 1972 [11 June 1971] 27447/71 Heading AID [Also in Division B8] A demountable hopper comprises an openended container of truncated conical or pyramidal form moulded from polythene or other resilient corrosion-resistant synthetic plastics material. In the Figure hopper 1 is mounted on a seed or fertiliser broadcaster to be mounted on the three-point linkage of an agricultural tractor. The upper rim of the hopper is engaged by clips 3 resiliently secured to rail 4 surrounding the hopper on three sides and secured to the machine frame 6. The hopper preferably has translucent walls and scales 7, 8, formed during the moulding to enable the amount of material in the hopper to be determined.
