Abstract

1310834 Fertiliser distributers and transporters LELY Ltd 26 May 1970 [30 May 1969] 25299/70 Heading A1D [Also in Division B8] A fertiliser vehicle is adaptable for both distributing and transporting. A hopper 9, in the form of an inverted square pyramid, is supported on a frame by members 10, 11. A rotary distributor 25 is mounted at the apex of the hopper and is driven from a gearbox 27 which may be connected with the power-take-off shaft of a tractor. If the vehicle is to be used as a transporter, the delivery mechanism 35 is detachably inserted inside the hopper 9 and the auger 31 is connected to the gearbox. At the destination, the auger is set into rotation to raise the contents to the mouth of the delivery member 61 which discharges the material over the upper edge of the hopper to the outside. When spreading, the delivery mechanism may be replaced by an agitator to prevent clogging.
