Abstract

1,170,797. Distributing liquid manure. HYDE AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS Ltd. 3 April, 1968 [3 May, 1967], No. 20526/67. Heading AID. [Also in Divisions B8 and F1] A trailer has a manure tank 10 on a chassis 11 provided with a feed auger 13 within a housing 14 to discharge through an opening 12 to an impeller 17 in a spreader housing 16. The auger 13 has a chain drive from a shaft 18 which is also provided with a universal coupling 23 by which it can drive an associated feed auger 24 provided with a stand 25 by which it is supported in a reservoir 26 from which manure is raised through a hose 27 to fill the tank 10. The shaft 18 may be driven from the power take off of a tractor, an engine on the tanker chassis or by a hydraulic motor driven by the tracter system. The tank may or may not be pressurised. The auger 24 may be transported with the tanker.
