Abstract

1405066 Twisflocks COUBRO & SCRUTTON (M & I) Ltd 4 March 1974 [16 March 1973] 12740/73 Heading E2B Means 10 for locating an arcuately-movable radial handle 8 of a twist-lock comprises an elongate body defining a slot aperture formed with seatings 12 which can receive the handle without deformation, the seatings reducing in width at a portion 13a, 13b thereof to be of lesser width than the handle such that at least one portion of the body, made of resilient deformable material tends to restrain movement of the handle from the seatings. The means are secured to the twist lock body 1 by screws and may be a one piece moulding of rubber-like material, or a synthetic resinous plastics material faced with rubber at the abutment area or carrying discrete portions of resiliently compressible material to constitute the abutment. The twistlock comprises a shank 3 with chamfered T-heads 4, 6 which engage in similarly shaped openings in a fitting. The heads are angularly offset so that shank 3 must be rotated into two different positions through 85‹ to lock them.
