Abstract

1437010 Structural unit MANNESMANN LEICHTBAU GmbH 26 Sept 1973 45143/73 Heading B8H [Also in Divisions E1 and E2] A structural unit comprises an auchoring beam 1 which consists of a bar 2 and an integral shaped head 3, the bar 2 being embedded in a slab of constructional material (only shown in part) and a coupling beam 6 of C-shaped crosssection which engages in use with the head 3 of the bar 2 so that the structural unit as a whole can be lifted by means of a conveyer chain 10, the shaped head 3 having convexly shaped surfaces 4, 4<SP>1</SP> which mate with concavely shaped surfaces 7, 7<SP>1</SP> formed on lips 8 of the coupling beam 6. In further embodiments the bar (2) is provided with coupling beam support lips (31, 31<SP>1</SP>) which are either straight or curved, Figs. 14, 15, respectively (not shown). In a still further embodiment, Figs. 16-18 (not shown), the coupling beam is in the form of a hollow body which is pushed over the shaped head (3) before being twisted, drop pins (27, 27<SP>1</SP>) being provided to prevent unwanted rotation between the coupling beam and the head (3). The bar (2) may be bent once or twice, Figs. 3, 4, respectively (not shown).
