Foot-cycles, scooters, hobbyhorses, and like toy vehicles are made as a knockdown construction whereof the parts can be readily assembled and taken apart by a child. The body or platform of the vehicle is formed of a number of perforated elongated members 15 arranged side by side and clamped together by bolts and nuts 17. Fig. 1 shows a scooter according to. the invention, and in order to accommodate part of the rear wheel 11 the middle member 15 of the platform is displaced forwardly relatively to the side members, and the wheel axle 24 is carried by springs 21 bolted at 22 to the side members. The vertical and horizontal holes 16 along the bars intersect. The steering-wheel 12 is mounted in side members 26 bolted to the lower end of the perforated steering-stem 13, a steering-connexion to the platform being effected bv a bolt 43 which passes through the front ends of metal straps 36, 38 bolted to the platform and an arch 34, and through the rearwardly extending arms of a bracket 42 secured to the stem. A hobby-horse with a pair of rear wheels is also described, the seat being supported above a body of bars 15 by an arch, such as 34, and a rear bracket. The wheels of the vehicle may be replaced by runners such as those of sledges. Specification 140,101 is referred to.
