1403203 Coated articles G GIUSTI 16 Nov 1972 [17 Nov 1971] 52991/72 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions B5 and B6] To produce decorative articles such as buttons, buckles, counters or trinkets, thermosetting material is hot compression moulded to give an article with a recessed pattern, varnish is sprayed on to the surface of the article, hardened, and then removed from the unrecessed land surrounding the pattern to produce an article having a varnished recess pattern. The varnish may include colouring material, and may be removed by tumbling with abrasive bodies.
