Abstract

1402987 Selective signalling KENT METERS Ltd 4 May 1972 [13 May 1971] 3783/75 Divided out of 1402986 Heading G4H [Also in Division H4] Apparatus responsive to the receipt of an interrogation signal from an interrogator connected thereto by a line to incode information for sending back to the interrogator comprises a multi-stage receiver adapted to receive the element of an interrogation signal, a gating network connected to at least two stages of the receiver and arranged if the corresponding elements form a predetermined code to initiate encoding into a frequency modulated response signal both variable information currently available and fixed data (i.e. the station identity) for transmission over the line.
