Abstract

1335006 Radio signalling ROBERT BOSCH ELEKTRONIK GmbH 5 April 1972 [28 July 1971] 15755/72 Heading H4L In a system for transmitting data via a first radio channel or speech via a second radio channel between a central station and a mobile station which is normally switched to the first radio channel and normally can only be switched to the second channel by means of a special coded signal from the central station, the switchover to the second channel in the mobile station is made automatically if the carrier wave of the first channel fails for a predetermined time period and/or the data signals cannot be recognized at the mobile station for a second predetermined time period. The system is used to monitor and control vehicles in a local traffic concern from the central station and enables the central station to be immediately informed of fault conditions and an audible or visible warning of these conditions to be operated at the mobile receiver.
