Abstract

1402779 Shoe cleaner LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-GmbH 1 Dec 1972 [2 Dec 1971 6 June 1972 13 June 1972] 55621/72 Heading A4F In a shoe cleaning appliance, pivotal movement of an elongate shoe platform 23, which is positioned between two roller brushes 8, effects movement of the brushes towards each other, the extent of movement depending on the extent of the pivoting of the platform 23. The brushes 8 are mounted at the pivoting end in stationary bearings 17 and at their opposite end in horizontally slideable bearings 19 which are biased apart, being connected to a traction pulley on the platform 23 by a cable and pulley arrangement. The brushes 8 are driven by a motor 15 situated in a dust free space 6, the motor being actuated by the initial depression of the spring-biased platform 23. A dust pan 14 is situated beneath the brushes 8.
