1402528 Beams for shuttering for floors &c RAPID METAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd 15 Nov 1972 [30 Nov 1971] 55463/71 Heading E1S A channel-section beam has at least one laterally projecting element 15, (16) at each end, the elements 15, (16) projecting from locations near the web 12 of the channel and being so disposed that there is at least one element on each side 10, 11 of the channel (see Fig. 1, not shown), and each element having a depending terminal lug 15a, (16a). The beam is used in floor shuttering, as a crossbeam supported at its ends on horizontal flanges of main beams, with the lugs 15a, (16a) engaging in holes in such flanges. The assembly of beams is supported on props, and the channels of the cross-beams are filled with wooden inserts to which the form panels are secured, these panels also being supported on lateral edge flanges 13, 14 of the channel sides.
