1402278 Filtering fermented liquor BREW SYSTEMS GmbH 30 Oct 1972 49960/72 Heading B1D [Also in Division C6] Sugar-containing liquid e.g. for the domestic production of beer or wine, is fermented by forcing it, under the pressure of the carbon dioxide evolved, through a layer 6 including yeast cells supported on a fine-pored filter 4 in the chamber 1. Carbon dioxide released by the throttle valve 3 at say, I or 2 atmospheres pressure may be used for carbonating the fermented liquid in tank 7. Beer malt employed may have been reconstituted by diluting thickened malt with water.
