Abstract

1401691 Spray producers INSTA BRU DEVELOPMENTS Ltd 19 March 1973 [9 March 1972] 10971/72 Heading B2F A nozzle comprises a body 1, and an insert 7 having a central passageway 10 extending therethrough and defining with the body a plurality of channels (11), Figure 3 (not shown), and is adapted to be connected to the outlet end 14 of a liquid supply pipe 16, the nozzle being adjustable in use such that the outlet end 14 of the pipe is either in abutting relationship with the end face 8 of the insert to constrain the liquid to flow through the central passageway 10 only, or in a spaced relationship with the insert to permit liquid to flow through the channels (11) as well as the passageway 10. The insert has a generally Y-shaped cross-section has arcuate fillets 9 to enlarge the central region of the end face 8. The body 1 of the nozzle and the insert 7 are preferably of plastics material e.g. polypropylene.
