Abstract
1401602 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems CROSS MFG Inc 7 Jan 1974 [6 Feb 1973] 00660/74 Heading G3P In a hydraulic system having a directional control valve 12 for actuating a motor 54, an unloading valve 10 is provided between the valve 12 and a pump 18. When the spool 64 of the valve 12 is in neutral position the chamber 34 at one end of the spool 30 of valve 10 is communicated with reservoir 28 via passages 86, 88 and grooves 60, 62 in the bore 46 of the valve 12 so that pump pressure communicated to the chamber 32 via spool passages 42, 38 acts on the spool 30 against the loading spring 36 to connect the pressure inlet 16 to reservoir passages 26. When the spool 64 of the valve 12 is moved to connect one of the work ports 48, 52 to the inlet passage 50 the communication between the grooves 60, 62 is interrupted and the chamber 34 is connected via check valve 100, restriction 102, passage 90, groove 58 and either spool passages 74, 68, 72 or spool passages 74, 70, 72 with the work port being connected to the inlet. The spool 30 is thereby positioned to regulate the inlet pressure according to the pressure at the work port which is regulated according to the position of the spool 64. A plurality of motors and directional control valves in parallel may be provided with the passages 88 in series and the passages 90 in parallel. Chamber 34 has a pressure relief valve 94.
