Abstract

1401208 Pneumatic torque applying tool NUOVA LAPI 27 July 1972 [5 Aug 1971 13 April 1972] 35261/72 Heading B3N An impact pneumatic tool comprises a rotor 2 for rotating an inertia mass 3 which drives a striker 5 which intermittently engages means 40 on an output spindle 4, a shaft 8 secured to spindle 4, a sleeve 6 slidably mounted on the shaft and having a cam 7 thereon, the striker is rotatably mounted on the sleeve, actuating means, roller 15, co-operating with the sleeve to effect reciprocation thereof, a speed reduction mechanism coupling the rotor to the actuating means and coupling means, shaft 16, connecting the reduction mechanism to the rotor in a substantially elastic manner. Roller 15 is mounted on a pin in a bush 14 which has a gear-wheel 13. The rear end of shaft 8 has a flange 11 which supports three double pinions 12, the front ones being in engagement with gear 13 whilst the rear ones are in engagement with a gear-wheel 18 mounted on shaft 16. The motor may have two thrust chambers.
