Abstract

1400641 Hook fastenings; hooks HONEYWELL LTD 25 March 1974 [23 March 1973] 14069/73 Heading E2A [Also in Division G1] A unit 2 such as an indicating instrument is secured in an aperture of a panel 1 such as a control panel using at least one spring clip 7. The unit 2 is a clearance fit in the aperture and has a preipheral flange 3 which abuts the front face of the panel 1 about the aperture. Each clip 7 'has a hook portion 8 which is inserted between the unit and the edge of the aperture, through a cutout in the flange 3, and turned over to engage the rear face of the panel. A limb 10 of the clip is pressed against the front 5 of the unit 2 and retained by a nylon press stud 11 or a latching tag 11a which engages a hole 6 or 6a in the front 5. A cover 12 may be secured to the unit by a screw 13.
