Abstract

890,564. Anchor-nuts &c. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. May 26, 1959 [Aug. 11, 1958], No. 25789/58. Class 89(1). A fastener made from sheet-metal comprises a body 1 with an aperture 2 to receive and engage either a screwed or a plain rod, opposed arms 4 inclined to engage resiliently one face of a panel or other support, and lugs 5, 6 extending axially of the body and provided with arms 5a, 6a for engaging the other face of the panel. Arm 5a is shorter than arm 6a and is snapped through the fastener-receiving opening of the panel by pressure on a tool 10.
