Abstract

The lock has concealed fixing devices, being particularly for a door. Two plates fit on opposite sides of the lock and are assembled together or fixed on the door, by means of devices visible on one of them. The plate on which the fixing devices are visible has them masked by a decorative cover extending for part at least of the way over it. The cover is detachably secured in place by a hooked portion and by the door knob or handle. The hooked portion can comprise a tongue on the cover, engaging in a groove in a protruding edge on the plate. The knob can bear against the cover via an elastic component such as a spring washer.
