Abstract

The fixing assembly, for a connector for e.g. a printed circuit board, has hooked plated (30) sliding into broad slots (31) in the end faces of the connector. The hooked arms of the plates engage behind holes in the support panel (47) or surface. The arms close inwards until they come to rest against a conical projection (37) on the underside of the connector. This projection passes through the hole in the support panel. The hooked arms are flanked by shorter support legs (43). The plate has a central hole (40) that snaps over a wedge-shaped key (34) in the slot in the connector's end face.
