Abstract

The lever-type clip is for use with barrels etc., being secured without riveting or welding to the cover mounting ring and securing the cover to the barrel. The plate (2) has lugs (4) on it, engaging in a hole in the ring, and is rotated through 90 deg. after insertion to lock it in place in the hole, which is oblong. Instead of the oblong hole there can be a slot, in which a part of the plate is inserted and bent over through 180 deg. so as to secure it permanently in place.
