Abstract

1400577 Gear-pumps and motors SHIMADZU SEISAKUSHO Ltd 29 Aug 1972 [28 Aug 1971] 40022/72 Heading F1F [Also in Division F2] Each tooth on a gear for a gear-pump or motor has a profile, uniform throughout the axial length of the tooth, in which the torque-transmitting side 41 has an involute form, and the non-torquetransmitting side 42 has an addendum portion 42a which is involutely formed and a cut-away dedendum portion 42b, the pressure angle of the torquetransmitting side 41 being greater than that of the addendum non-torque-transmitting portion 42a. The pressure angle on the torque-transmitting side 41 may be between 14 and 30 degrees and is preferably 23 degrees. The pressure angle of the addendum portion 42a is between 0 and 20 degrees and preferably is 14.5 degrees.
