1448064 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines HYDROPERFECT-INTERNATIONAL HPI 17 Jan 1974 [23 Jan 1973] 2245/74 Heading F1F In an hydraulic gear-pump, or motor, pressurebalancing regions 52, 54 on the outer sides of plates 20, 22 abutting the side faces of the gears 12, 14 communicate with chambers 29, 31 for high and low-pressure working-fluid, respectively, and are separated by a gasket 48 lodged in each plate, the plates incorporating bearings 36 for shafts 16, 18. The ends of the gaskets are pressed against the body 26 owing to a tendency to extrusion thereof. Working-fluid circulates through helical grooves 40, annular grooves 42 and conduits 44 to lubricate the bearings, recesses 38 serving as reservoirs. Channels 56 may inter-connect the bearings and the low-pressure chamber 31.
