1400566 Reinforcement spacer PRE-STRESS CONCRETE INC 6 Sept 1972 41391/72 Heading E1W A spacer comprises four equidistantly spaced radially disposed arms 23-26 on a flat base 17 which are interconnected by, and project beyond, a tubular support member 18 secured to the base, the upper surface of the support member and the arms providing support for two intersecting reinforcement bars. The support member is preferably an upwardly tapering tube having side apertures for allowing the ingress of concrete. The spacers are placed on a sheet of polyethylene, which provides a moisture barrier between the ground and the concrete.
