Abstract

1,081,641. Tamping rollers. PACTOR CORPORATION. Jan. 4, 1966 [Jan. 11, 1965], No. 342/66. Heading A1B. [Also in Division B7] A sheeps foot roller comprises sheeps foot elements 11 secured on axially spaced rings 10, which are rigidly interconnected by radially disposed, transverse plates 14. The plates are connected with a hub assembly via shock absorbers 15. Cleaner bars 17 having cross-plates 23 extend between adjacent rings. The elements 11 are tapered and form tamping feet. Removable non-tapered feet 12 may be mounted on the elements.
