Abstract

1397630 Tractor counterweights INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 10 Aug 1972 [30 Aug 1971] 37415/72 Heading B7H A tractor counterweight assembly includes a support bracket 24 for the weights 27, on L- shaped bar 40 extending through an opening 37 in each of the weights and fastened to the bracket to prevent vertical and longitudinal horizontal movement of the weights, and cam means in the form of washers 47 for preventing lateral movement. Bar 40 is mounted on bracket 24 by bolts 43 at either side of the weight unit and washers 47, having fixed hexagona heads, are eccentrically mounted on the bolts, so that rotation of the washers may move the weights toward the centre of bar 40. Bar 40 and bracket 24 have a number of mounting bores 50, 51 for bolts 43 thus allowing for differing numbers of weights to be used. The weights may have projections 53 which locate in the unused bores 50.
