Abstract
1396822 Motor vehicles CMI CORP 28 March 1973 [26 June 1972] 14887/73 Heading B7H [Also in Division F2] A tracked vehicle comprises four track assemblies 16 each driven by an hydraulic motor 32, 34, 36, 38 supplied by a pump 20 through a valve assembly 18 (Figs. 2 to 10, not shown) having a flow divider (Fig. 6, not shown) which proportions the flow from the pump between the tracks on each side of the vehicle for steering, the flow divider acting to steer the vehicle in response to either a manually controlled valve 64 or a probe 82 which follows a string line 84 automatically to steer the vehicle through adjustment of a valve 72. The vehicle may be used in road construction. The pump 20 can be driven by an internal combustion engine which may be a gas turbine.
