Abstract

1396682 Permutation locks WALTER KIDDE & CO INC 21 June 1973 [16 Feb 1973] 29532/73 Heading E2A In a combination lock for luggage cases, the dials H are each associated with sleeve I having a rim 22 with a flat portion 24 which allows a control plate F to tilt up (about pivots, not visible, at each end) under pressure of spring J to the solid-line position of Fig 4, this causing a hook 32 to disengage vertically from a recess (not visible) in the fastening bolt G so that this may be retracted against detent 58 by a manual slider M. Specification 1254609 is referred to.
