Abstract

1396645 Cable clamp SADTEM 9 April 1973 [10 April 1972] 16853/73 Heading H2E A cable clamp consists of a U-shaped body 1, made from a stack of identical cold rolled steel plates insulated from each other and riveted together and bearing on the insides of the U racks 11 and 12 of rectilinear teeth, which engage with teeth 13, 14 of a non-magnetic slide 2 with a clamping screw 6 with shoe 3, the placing of the rivets 19, 20, 21, 22 being such that when the tap holes 23, 24 are drilled parallel to the planes of the plates, the plates are not separated and the clip body is not weakened. The teeth 13, 14 may be wider than the teeth of racks 11, 12. A hole 25 for a self-tapping screw may be provided for a voltage take off lead. The slide 2 may be of an aluminium or copperbased non-magnetic alloy. The insulation may be varnish or oxide.
