Abstract

1395353 Supporting resistors DANFOSS AS 15 June 1972 [15 June 1971] 28021/72 Heading H1K [Also in Division H2] A ceramic resistor 2 suitable for operation at high temperature is held by resilient electrical contact members 24, 25, 26, 27 with a loose fit in an aperture in an insulating support-plate 19 held in grooves 15 and 16. The resilient contact members, allowing longitudinal expansion of the resistor, are connected to respective sockets on an associated plug member (Figs. 1, 2 and 3, not shown) and are disposed symmetrically about the longitudinal axis of the resistor. The frame is provided with openings to allow the passage of cooling air. In a separate embodiment (Figs. 5, 6 and 7, not shown), two resistors are held in respective support plates located in grooves 17 and 18, a central resilient contact member and respective rigid end connectors being provided to connect the resistors in parallel.
